TON Ecosystem

The Open Network (TON) is a decentralized and open internet platform made up of several components. These include: TON Blockchain, TON DNS, TON Storage, and TON Sites. TON Blockchain is the core protocol that connects TON’s underlying infrastructure together to form the greater TON Ecosystem.

The asynchronous and distributed nature of TON has put its own spin on the TON NFT standard - each NFT on TON is a separate smart contract.

This technical characteristic improves the user experience when using TON in several aspects: low gas fees and low data storage fees, allowing for projects that store all information exclusively on the blockchain without having to rely on centralized systems or IPFS.

In addition to the traditional uses of NFTs as collectibles, avatars, tickets, and gaming assets, the ecosystem's close association with messenger offers a number of additional benefits, such as:

• Telegram team launched Fragment marketplace, where anyone can trade Telegram usernames or Anonymous Numbers backed by an NFT on the TON Blockchain, but in November 2024 Fragment has implemented mandatory KYC for purchases on the TG marketplace.
• If you want to own a domain in TON, such as mystore.ton, you need to buy a NFT domain on the DNS marketplace for your wallet and pay a rental fee to store and process data on the blockchain. NFT usernames purchased on Fragment can also be used for TON DNS to bind to your wallet and use your username.t.me NFT as your wallet address. TON domain names Marketplace.

Accounts by NFT interfaces type have a 13% market share, but only 8% by transactions. The low-liquidity nature of NFTs probably plays an important role here.

TON is evolving quite rapidly, but there is still a lack of analytical tools in the ecosystem, especially dedicated to specific sectors of the crypto economy, such as NFTs.

There is a beta.redoubt.online onchain analytics tool on TON, but there is no NFT dashboard on it at the moment.

To date, NFTScan is the only explorer that provides analytics on the TON ecosystem. And it clearly shows the initial state of the market. Fragment is slightly ahead of Getgems in terms of volume, 

but well behind in users

Let's take a closer look at the participants in the ecosystem.

Fragment TON

Fragment is a free platform that facilitates transactions for selling collectibles between users and buying services from third parties. It supports direct sales as well as public auctions where anyone can participate for a certain amount of time.
Fragment also facilitates your participation in some third-party services, such as buying Telegram Premium, Telegram Ads or charging fees to content creators.

Fragment supports the sale and exchange of Telegram usernames, giving users the ability to securely buy and sell memorable collectible names, as well as turn existing Telegram usernames into collectible names.

A collectible is a unique item (e.g., username, virtual phone number, etc.) that is permanently recorded on the public TON blockchain as property belonging to the owner of the corresponding address.

Getgems

GetGems is a user-friendly marketplace that makes it easy to create, trade, and collect NFTs. 

Getgems Marketplace does not take any responsibility for NFT collections and/or other projects featured on the platform.

You can mint a collection directly through the site’s interface.

Collections on the trading platform are verified through the support bot in Telegram. The evaluation is based on the following criteria:

•  Collection of original works, regardless of how they were produced
• The collection's trading volume exceeds 10,000 TON over a certain period of time
• The minimum number of unique NFT owners in the collection is 10
• Identical forgeries of the collection have appeared on the blockchain

Each application can take up to 2 weeks to process, but the platform tries to hide fake collections as quickly as possible, regardless of the processing time.

Once you create a collection, it will not automatically appear on the main page. Submissions will be manually selected and the following will be taken into account:

• There must be at least 10 NFTs in the collection created in the same thematic style.
• The NFTs in the collection must be for sale.
• The collection must be original. If it has too many similarities to other projects or uses someone else's art, it will be rejected.

Getgems only takes a 5% fee on each sale.  NFT minting or transfer is free of charge.

Currently, the Getgems website's mining interface cannot create SBT, but support cNFT. You can submit your custom cNFT for display on Getgems via the support bot.

Сompressed NFT (cNFT)

The compressed NFT (cNFT) standart allows the creation of huge collections of NFTs (up to a billion) without spending significant time and money on minting. NFT mining involves creating a unique digital item on the blockchain that becomes a collectible and can be sold or exchanged. The cNFT format combines two types of information storage:

• On-chain, where the information is visible and accessible to all participants in the network;
• Off-chain, where the information resides on a secure server, such as Amazon, which makes working with NFTs faster and more convenient because it does not require immediate processing on the blockchain. 

When a cNFT is first interacted with, it is moved to the blockchain and becomes indistinguishable from a classic NFT. This means that the digital item is added to the blockchain for everyone to see and trade it. The cost of creating a cNFT is equivalent to the mint price of a regular NFT.

Market App is an aggregator of NFT marketplaces including custom deals with 1% fee. The project is still in beta, and doesn't have enough filtering settings and good search capabilities.

This Telegram bot offers a number of useful features. Users can sign up to receive NFT notifications about any collection on TON. The bot allows users to utilize the services of a guarantor without any fees or royalties. Users can easily customize and create full auctions on Fragment. The bot also allows transferring NFTs to another wallet and supports bulk actions, allowing multiple NFTs to be processed in a single transaction.
