NFT Vaults on PaintSwap

A vault is a contract that a user creates for his wallet address and of which he is the owner. This contract can store NFTs and financial NFTs (fNFTs) in the vault for both sale and auction. A customized vault allows its owner to sell their NFTs from the vault at will, as well as withdraw any NFTs/tokens received from airdrops at any time, and makes it easy to obtain information such as the number of unique holders and true owners of NFTs.

NFT vaults on PaintSwap allow the platform to have the best of both worlds - custodial and non-custodial listings. For NFTs with changing values and underlying assets, an NFT vault allows buyers to be assured that the NFT has not been changed or had its value removed between listing and sale.

The use of a vault is optional except for auctions, but is recommended for NFTs such as Solidly veNFTs, Revest Finance NFTs. They can also be used for peace of mind, knowing that you won't be subject to a bad sale when transferring a listed NFT without canceling the listing, and then getting it back again later where it can be sold off if the old listing hasn't expired yet.

When first interacting with the PaintSwap Marketplace, each user generates their own vault contract. This gives the user access to their vault and any items in it, whether they are NFTs or tokens that have been transferred to holders over the air.

Interactive NFTs in PaintSwap

Typical NFT is based on predictable static or dynamic content such as images, animated pictures, audio files or videos. In contrast, interactive NFT (iNFT) usually refers to some kind of web content that changes based on your actions. It can include almost anything that is supported by a web browser. For example, a game, an application, a tool, interactive art or music.

Interaction is limited to what is supported by the main site.

In PaintSwap, iNFTs run in an iframe sandbox that allows scripts and forms, but not pop-ups or access to web extensions. The content of an NFT is usually an html file that can contain CSS, SVG, JavaScript, Base64 encoded image URLs, and more.

Turning Godot games/apps into iNFTs on PaintSwap

PaintSwap uses responsive design. To get the most out of your iNFT, do the same. A good practice is to use a width and height of 100% of the root component instead of fixed pixels. The iframe should be able to resize without destroying your work. You can check this on the coining page, where there is also a button to expand the view.

PaintSwap only supports a single HTML page, so if you have multiple files, you need to find a way to merge them. If you have a React app, there are different ways to do this
