Box Office is part of SI Tickets, an online marketplace that resells tickets to major sporting, concert and theater events. SI Tickets is a division of general magazine and media brand Sports Illustrated.
Rather than catering to major sports and music events, Box Office accepts ticket listings for smaller community events that typically appear on ticketing sites such as Eventbrite or DICE.
NFT Tickets For Events
The project is trying to create the first mass NFT ticketing systemб so that anyone, from 15-year-olds to 90-year-olds, can buy their first NFT ticket without having to go through cryptocurrency education on the blockchain, start a wallet or understand any aspects of it.
Tickets for the NFT will be available on the SI Tickets mobile app. Event organizers can not only provide access, but also provide tickets with content such as, photos, videos, collectibles, personalized messages, promotional offers and loyalty rewards to attract fans. Content can be recorded and uploaded before, during and after the event.
Box Office expects to list of free and paid tickets from partner music venues, nightclubs, business conferences, private parties, fitness and yoga studios, comedy clubs, religious retreats and charitable organizations.
Fans can also sell their tickets on the NFT Marketplaces, such as Opensea or X2Y2
Sports Illustrated offers to split resale revenue 50/50 with event organizers and performers by tracking Box Office transaction data on the chain.
Users who purchase a ticket in Box Office will also receive a $10 bonus for purchasing tickets to any of the 250,000 major events on the SI Tickets secondary market, whose A-list events will be displayed alongside Box Office events in the same app.
Your event will be listed on SI Tickets next to the biggest sports, concert and theater events in the region. Organizers will no longer be limited to a hyperlocal landing page, they will literally be next to Taylor Swift, or the New York Knicks. This gives more visibility to any event.
Box Office allows you to integrate promo codes/discounts and other promotions for your events.
Your event will have a dashboard that displays data including details of ticket sales, gate scans, revenue generated and more.
With NFT tickets, you can increase user engagement before the event. Reward your attendees before they even enter with fast-track passes, drink coupons, music downloads and more.
SI Tickets accepts credit and debit cards, PayPal, Venmo and Apple Pay. They do not currently accept any currency other than US dollars.
