A standout feature of OG:Crystals is the introduction of an Augmented Reality (AR) capability, a first in the NFT marketplace. This feature allows holders to access AR assets directly through Open Sea, enabling them to create engaging videos featuring their Crystals in augmented environments. This direct integration enhances user interaction, allowing a seamless transition from viewing to engaging with the Crystals in a virtual space.
Unique Evolutionary Mechanics
The lifecycle of an OG:Crystal is both unique and interactive:
- Initially, collectors acquire a "seed crystal" and select its initial color upon purchase.
- This seed then evolves into a fully-formed OG:Crystal. This transformation is driven by an algorithm that combines the owner’s crypto wallet ID/history with various potential crystalline and coral reef structures.
- As the OG:Crystal changes hands, it retains its original form but gains new, unique crystalline features influenced by each subsequent owner’s wallet characteristics.
- Throughout its trading journey, each phase of the crystal’s evolution is documented, allowing for a transparent view of the artistic progression.
- After three months or seven transactional generations, the crystal’s growth ceases, preserving its final form and rarity.
