Dynamic Features of Botanica's NF(Trees)
Continuous Growth in Real-Time. Upon their introduction, these digital trees embark on a life-like journey of growth that mirrors the natural development of real trees. Starting as delicate saplings, they mature over a period that spans approximately six weeks, mirroring a condensed version of a tree's growth cycle in the natural world. Each NF(Tree) boasts a distinct growth pattern, ensuring no two trees are exactly alike.
Changing Seasons. Botanica's trees also experience seasonal transformations. Depending on whether they are situated in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere, the trees undergo the visual changes associated with autumn and the blooming of flowers. This feature guarantees that the appearance of the trees is in a constant state of flux, beautifully syncing with the real-world seasons and providing a fresh experience each year.
Interactive Pruning. Leveraging the capabilities of Plutus smart contracts, Botanica will soon allow tree owners to prune their trees. This feature enables users to influence the growth direction of new shoots by making strategic cuts, thereby personalizing the tree’s appearance while retaining the original policy ID. This functionality will be available shortly after the initial release, adding an interactive dimension to the tree ownership.

Botanica's NF(Trees) are not only unique in their growth and seasonal patterns but also in their genetic makeup. Each tree's characteristics, except for the pot design, background, and geographical location, are encoded at the genetic level. This genetic framework allows for a staggering number of potential combinations, theoretically reaching up to 47,900,160 different outcomes. This immense variety ensures that each NF(Tree) is a one-of-a-kind digital organism, bringing a new level of diversity to NFT collections.
